ARGENTINA SE SUMA A LA FORMACIÓN EN LA TAULINOPLASTIA

Argentinian pediatric surgeon Dr. Marcelo Martinez Ferro visited Barcelona to take part in a training workshop on the art of the Taulinoplastia technique held at the premises of the University of Barcelona (UB).

Marcelo Martinez Ferro is a specialist in Pediatric Surgery, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Pediatric and Fetal Surgery. Currently, he is the head of the surgery department at Hospital Privado de Niños de Buenos Aires and, among other functions, he served as the president of the International Pediatric Endosurgery Group (GBI), a company of high scientific recognition.

The session, which was attended by various pediatric surgeons, was organized by Dr. Manuel Lopez Paredes, current head of Service of Pediatric Surgery at Hospital Vall d’Hebron in Barcelona, along with Ventura Medical Technologies.

The visit confirms the interest in the implementation of the Pectus Up surgery kit product worldwide and its development by the Taulinoplastia technique, especially in Argentina in this case.

Pectus UP continues with its particular expansion

Argentina could be the next country to apply the Taulinoplastia technique on patients that presents Pectus Excavatum and handed by the prestigious doctor Marcelo Martinez Ferro who is internationally recognized as a leader and pioneer in the field of malformations of the chest wall.

The UP PECTUS, developed by Ventura Medical Technologies to treat cases of Pectus Excavatum, is already established in Spain and France, where several surgeons have already started performing the new technique after receiving proper training. Valladolid, Madrid and Barcelona are the Spanish cities where this technique has already been practiced.

The PECTUS UP has not only been established in Spain and France, but it will also be present in South America, particularly in Colombia and Mexico, where the product is already in registration process and Argentina will follow later on.
