Ventura Medical Technologies participated in the 3rd Meeting of the Spanish National Chapter from the European Society of Biomechanics on 23rd and 24th October 2013 at the Barcelona Science Park, organized by the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia.

The Chapter main mission is to connect professionals and researchers to develop their work in the field of biomechanics, to enhance the collaboration among university-hospital-company and to promote the dissemination and promotion of studies and research in biomechanics in Spain.

Ventura Medical Technologies was selected to take part, during this event, in a round table about technological and clinical transfer to contribute with its wide experience in different technological transfers performed from the hand of Maite Valderas (picture below).

One of these transfers of knowledge was also exposed, Pectus UP Surgery Kit, a revolutionary solution for Pectus Excavatum , conducted by Lluis Cassou (picture above).

From our point of view, an adequate technological transfer should be based on three main points: to establish clearly the state of knowledge to be transferred, to dispose an extensive awareness of market conditions, and finally should go hand in hand with an exhaustive study of patentability, in so far as the company could access all the information to assess a reliably business plan and thus minimize financial risk and investment of time.
