{"id":13479,"date":"2018-09-24T12:30:51","date_gmt":"2018-09-24T12:30:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pectusup.com\/?p=5708\/"},"modified":"2025-06-23T08:58:16","modified_gmt":"2025-06-23T08:58:16","slug":"the-xxi-colombian-congress-of-pediatric-surgery-scenario-of-the-presentation-of-pectus-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pectusup.com\/en\/the-xxi-colombian-congress-of-pediatric-surgery-scenario-of-the-presentation-of-pectus-up\/","title":{"rendered":"THE XXI COLOMBIAN CONGRESS OF PEDIATRIC SURGERY, SCENARIO OF THE PRESENTATION OF PECTUS UP"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4 style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/biomedisys.com.co\/\">Biomedysis Colombia<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/venturamedicaltechnologies.com\/es\/\">Ventura Medical Technologies<\/a> collaborate in the XXI Colombian Congress of Pediatric Surgery to be held in Bogot\u00e1 during the days 25 to September 28, where Dr. Manuel Lopez will introduce the Pectus Up, extrathoracic implant developed by Ventura Medical Technologies .<\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">In October 2017, doctors <a href=\"https:\/\/www.topdoctors.com.co\/doctor\/fernando-fierro-avila\">Fernando Fierro \u00c1vila<\/a>, pediatric surgeon, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ctsnet.org\/home\/arodriguezsabogal\">Carlos Alberto Rodr\u00edguez Sabogal<\/a>, thoracic surgeon, took part in a training workshop in <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Up<\/strong>, ??the new extrathoracic surgical technique for the Pectus Excavavtum, which was organized by <strong>Ventura Medical Technologies<\/strong> and held in Barcelona.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The training was given by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.topdoctors.es\/doctor\/laureano-molins-lopez-rodo\">Dr. Laureano Molins<\/a>, Head of the Thoracic Surgery Service of Hospital Cl\u00ednic and Hospital Sagrat Cor, who is carrying out a process of training in the technique of <strong>Pectus Up<\/strong> to several surgeons interested in this new extrathoracic method to correct the <strong>Pectus Excavatum<\/strong>. The workshop was also attended by Dr. Bernardo N\u00fa\u00f1ez Garcia, coordinator of the Pediatric Surgery Service of the Parc Taul\u00ed Hospital in Sabadell.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">After the training process, Fierro and Rodr\u00edguez have performed several surgeries in different hospitals in Bogota thus contributing to the preparation of many Colombian surgeons interested in the innovative method of <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Up<\/strong>. Together with Biomedysis Colombia, distributor of <strong>Ventura Medical<\/strong> <strong>Technologies<\/strong> products there, they have organized some training workshops in different Colombian cities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">In addition, this time Dr. Fernando Fierro is part of the Research Committee of the congress, along with doctors <strong>Abraham Chams Anturi<\/strong>, <strong>Oscar Salazar <\/strong>and <strong>Pedro Villamizar Beltr\u00e1n<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The event will be chaired by <strong>Dr. Iv\u00e1n Dar\u00edo Molina Ram\u00edrez<\/strong>, current President of the Colombian Society of Pediatric Surgery, and will be attended by national, South American, Central American and Caribbean pediatric surgeons, as well as international surgeon experts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The congress will host an important academic activity and surgical education focused on the interdisciplinary management that should be given to pediatric patients with surgical pathologies, so it will be attended by pediatricians, general practitioners, nurses and surgical instrumentalists, as well as undergraduate and graduate students.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The event is the scenario where on Friday, September 28, <a href=\"https:\/\/pectusup.com\/profesionales\/dr-manuel-lopez\/\">Dr. Manuel L\u00f3pez Paredes<\/a>, expert surgeon in the surgical treatment of thoracic deformities, will hold a <strong>Pectus Up<\/strong> workshop with theoretical presentations, a round table, a practical workshop on animal material and a <strong>live surgery<\/strong>, to promote the discussion on the technique and the advance that this represents in the management of pediatric surgical pathology.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Biomedysis Colombia and Ventura Medical Technologies collaborate in the XXI [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":6116,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[175],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-13479","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.7 -
