Mr Kolvekar is one of the leading cardiac surgeons treating chest deformities in London. He currently practices at St Bartholomew\u2019s Hospital, The Wellington Clinic, Harley Street Clinic, The London Clinic and The Private Clinic.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pectusup.com\/en\/profesionales\/prof-karen-redmond\/\">Professor Redmond<\/a> is a thoracic and lung transplant surgeon specializing in the surgical treatment of <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Excavatum<\/strong> patients, as well as minimally invasive procedures including robotics for lung cancer and other complex pulmonary, airway and chest wall conditions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During her training, Professor Redmond received the Gold Medal in Surgery from University College Dublin, the Thoracic Medal from the Society of Cardiothoracic Surgery in Great Britain and Ireland prior to completing her cardiothoracic and transplant surgery training at Toronto General and affiliated Hospitals, Canada.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">She has also been a consultant at the Royal Brompton Harefield NHS Trust and at Imperial College London for some years prior to returning to Ireland in 2011.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As Professor Redmond has now performed the first <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Up<\/strong> surgery on a patient affected by <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Excavatum<\/strong> in Great Britain and Ireland, this will allow Irish adult patients over 14 years of age to be treated with this innovative extra thoracic technique.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pectusup.com\/en\/profesionales\/dr-manuel-lopez\/\">Professor Manuel L\u00f3pez Paredes<\/a>, current head of Pediatric Surgery at Vall d&#8217;Hebron Hospital in Barcelona and Secretary of the executive committee of the Chest Wall International Group (CWIG), is an expert surgeon in the surgical treatment of <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Excavatum<\/strong>, more specifically with the <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Up<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">L\u00f3pez is also a renowned and recognized surgeon in urological laparoscopy and minimally invasive advanced surgical techniques. He is a member of the IPEG group (International of Pediatric Endoscopic Surgeon), of the ESPES (European Society of Pediatric Endoscopic Surgeon), of which he was a founding member, and is a professor at the Pediatric Surgery faculty at IRCAD (Laparoscopic training center).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Thanks to his high experience level in the <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Up<\/strong> technique, Professor L\u00f3pez is a <a href=\"https:\/\/pectusup.com\/en\/pectus-up-presentation-south-africa-chest-world-congress\/\">referent surgeon in this innovative and minimally invasive technique<\/a>, both as a surgeon specialized in the surgical treatment of the <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Excavatum<\/strong> and also for his valuable contribution in the training of other worldwide professionals.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Up<\/strong>, developed by <a href=\"http:\/\/venturamedicaltechnologies.com\">Ventura Medical Technologies<\/a>, has been a major technological innovation in the field of chest surgery for the treatment of
