{"id":13642,"date":"2021-02-23T10:00:31","date_gmt":"2021-02-23T10:00:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pectusup.com\/?p=9734"},"modified":"2022-11-04T08:35:39","modified_gmt":"2022-11-04T08:35:39","slug":"pectus-up-michoacan-mexico-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pectusup.com\/en\/pectus-up-michoacan-mexico-2\/","title":{"rendered":"First Pectus Excavatum surgery with Pectus Up in Michoac\u00e1n, Mexico"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><strong>Dr. Daniel Mungu\u00eda Canales joins the medical team of the Sanatorio Cuautla in their first surgery with the Pectus Up.<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This month of February, the first <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Excavatum<\/strong> surgery with the <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Up,<\/strong> the extrathoracic implant developed by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.venturamedicaltechnologies.com\/\">Ventura Medical Technologies<\/a>, took place at the Sanatorio Cuautla hospital, in the state of Michoac\u00e1n, in northern Mexico.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This hospital, opened in 1995, has the most advanced technology and facilities to give patients a high-level professional healthcare.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On February 13, and for the first time in this referral center, a 20-year-old male patient with a slightly asymmetric <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Excavatum<\/strong> with Haller index 3.5 was implanted the <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Up.<\/strong> The surgeons who performed the surgery were <strong>Dr. Iv\u00e1n Calvo<\/strong> and <a href=\"https:\/\/pectusup.com\/profesionales\/dr-daniel-alejandro-munguia-canales\/?lang=en\"><strong>Dr. Daniel Mungu\u00eda<\/strong><\/a>, joined by <strong>Dr. Jorge Coria<\/strong>, anesthesiologist, and by nurse <strong>Montserrat Garfias<\/strong>, a technician from the company <a href=\"mailto:ventas@nnovamederi.company\">Nnova Mederi<\/a>, the\u00a0 <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Up<\/strong> distributor in the aztec country.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pectusup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/pectus-up-sanatorio-cuautla-150x150.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyload wp-image-9726 alignright\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns%3D%27http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg%27%20width%3D%27180%27%20height%3D%27163%27%20viewBox%3D%270%200%20180%20163%27%3E%3Crect%20width%3D%27180%27%20height%3D%27163%27%20fill-opacity%3D%220%22%2F%3E%3C%2Fsvg%3E\" data-orig-src=\"https:\/\/pectusup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/pectus-up-sanatorio-cuautla-150x150.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"180\" height=\"163\" \/><\/a>This time, the fixing of the <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Excavatum<\/strong> was complemented with a correction of the flare costal of the patient in order to achieve a better aesthetic result. The professionals used subarachnoid block anesthesia, and analgesia using a subcutaneous elastomeric pump with buprenorphine, an excellent option endorsed by many professionals. The patient was not intubated at any time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With this surgery, the operating range of the <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Up<\/strong> is expanded in Mexico and in the world, consolidating it as an excellent extrathoracic and minimally invasive alternative for the correction of <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Excavatum<\/strong>. More and more professionals rely on this technique, which is already available in Spain, France, Portugal and Greece in Europe, and in Colombia, Mexico, Chile and Costa Rica in Latin
