Orsola &#8211; Malpighi, in Bologna, the historical capital of the Emilia-Romagna region, in the north of the country.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This hospital is a benchmark center for complex chest wall diseases, where a clinical study -of which both patients are part- is being conducted  to compare the results obtained from different techniques for the treatment of <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Excavatum<\/strong>. The <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Up<\/strong> is one of these techniques.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The thoracic surgeons who performed the surgeries were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ctsnet.org\/home\/gdolci\">Dr. Giampiero Dolci<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ctsnet.org\/home\/ndaddi\">Dr. Niccol\u00f2 Daddi<\/a>, after being trained in the technique in <a href=\"https:\/\/pectusup.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Pectus-Up-Italy-Patient-Brochure.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Italy<\/a> by the specialized staff of <a href=\"http:\/\/venturamedicaltechnologies.com\/\">Ventura Medical Technologies<\/a>, the company that has developed the implant.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Furthermore, Dr. Dolci had previously been trained in the Pectus Up technique in Madrid in September 2018, under the guidance of <strong>Dr. Andr\u00e9s Varela<\/strong> and Dr. Javier Moradiellos, both leaders in the treatment of <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Excavatum<\/strong> with the <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Up<\/strong> in Spain. In that training he was joined \u2013the same as this time\u2013  by Mr. Piero Malobbia, CEO of the company <a href=\"http:\/\/conecto-medical.com\/\">Conecto Srl<\/a>, distributor of <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Up<\/strong> and other medical products in Europe.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Both patients\u2019 <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Excavatum<\/strong> was symmetrical, one of them with a slight sternal rotation, and with depths to be raised of 1.5 cm and 2.5 cm respectively.
