The BVentura\u2019s project \u201cAutomotive\u00a0and health sector\u00a0joined in innovation: new device\u00a0for Pectus Excavatum\u201d\u00a0has been selected as an example\u00a0of public-private partnership (PPP)\u00a0by ESADE and La Uni\u00f3 – business association\u00a0of health and social institutions\u00a0-, through the Observatori of\u00a0PPP in health and social policies\u00a0promoted by its partners program.<\/p>\n
In 2006, BVentura conducted a\u00a0new strategic plan to focus on the\u00a0diversification of the group and to\u00a0use the resources that had been\u00a0developed by the automotive industry.After considering different sectors\u00a0the company opted to move towards\u00a0medical technologies. Following the\u00a0strategy defined, BVentura signed\u00a0a collaboration agreement with the\u00a0Corporaci\u00f3 Sanit\u00e0ria Parc Taul\u00ed (CSPT)\u00a0to co-develop a new surgical device\u00a0called \u201cPectus Up\u201d. This project was\u00a0supported by ACC1\u00d3 – competitiveness\u00a0for the companies of the Generalitat\u00a0de Catalunya.<\/p>\n
The Observatori, in its third edition,\u00a0has selected Bventura\u2019s project, which\u00a0is called: \u201cAutomotive and health sector\u00a0together in innovation: new device\u00a0for Pectus Excavatum\u201d as the project\u00a0is in a mature state of development\u00a0and has achieved the expected results\u00a0for public policy programs. The project\u00a0was presented by B.Ventura through its\u00a0medical division \u201cVentura Medical
\nTechnologies\u201d and the CSPT.<\/p>\n
The aim of the Observatori is to highlight\u00a0good practices for partnerships\u00a0between the Administration, health\u00a0and social companies, businesses for\u00a0goods and services and the academic\u00a0field that promotes benchmarking and\u00a0continuous learning.
\nIn this type of partnership it is possible\u00a0to establish an agreement based on\u00a0trust and mutual respect in which all partners can bring the best of their\u00a0abilities to the fore. The company provides the technical knowledge and the\u00a0management skills for good product development, health centers detect\u00a0and facilitate the inventive abilities of their professionals and innovation\u00a0organizations advise the professionals in the formation of their ideas and guide\u00a0their projects. Finally the administration creates the necessary synergies and\u00a0will support the companies in their diversification strategy.<\/p>\n
