On 28 July 2022, a dynamic demonstration day of the new generation of the Pectus Up<\/a> implant was held with great success at the Hospital Cl\u00ednico F\u00e9lix Bulnes in Santiago de Chile.<\/em><\/h3>\n

In collaboration with Pectus Chile<\/a><\/strong>, the official distributor in the country, the day was attended by the Pediatric Surgery team of the Hospital Cl\u00ednico F\u00e9lix de Bulnes<\/a><\/strong>, formed by Dr. Romero, Dr. Bordon, Dr. Passi and Dr. Perdomo. Medical students also joined the training, interested in seeing in situ the advances and good results of the Pectus Up technique.<\/p>\n

The Pectus Up corrective implant, which was conceived for the treatment of paediatric patients, can now, thanks to its innovative design<\/strong><\/a>, be used in adult patients with a greater range of asymmetry and depth of their Pectus Excavatum<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

In Chile, Dr. Patricio Herrera Oroz<\/strong><\/a>, a paediatric surgeon with more than 15 years of experience in this area, is positioning himself as a leader in the treatment of Pectus Excavatum with the minimally invasive extrathoracic technique Pectus Up, being the specialist with the most successful interventions performed so far.<\/p>\n

Dr. Herrera is currently a staff physician in the Paediatric Surgery Service at the Cl\u00ednica Alemana de Santiago and at the Hospital Exequiel Gonz\u00e1lez Cort\u00e9s. He is also a member of the Chilean Society of Paediatric Surgery<\/strong><\/a> and teaches at the University of Chile.<\/p>\n

His experience and interest in the minimally invasive approach to these diseases has led him to learn and train in new surgical techniques, such as the extrathoracic method of Pectus Up<\/strong>, in order to offer the best solution to both children and adolescents affected by Pectus Excavatum<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Pectus Up<\/strong> is becoming widely recognised throughout South America. More and more countries are relying on the new generation of Pectus Up as an innovative alternative to traditional treatments for Pectus Excavatum<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
