Professor Kolvekar<\/strong><\/a>, a renowned international cardiothoracic surgeon, was the distinguished specialist and speaker who introduced the Pectus Up New Generation<\/strong><\/a> to the audience at the 23rd Annual Congress of the Chest Wall International Group (CWIG)<\/strong> in Istanbul, Turkey.<\/p>\n

The 23rd edition of the Annual Congress of the Chest Wall International Group (CWIG) took place from June 22nd to 24th, 2023<\/strong>, and was organized by the Chest International Group and the Marmara University of Istanbul.<\/p>\n

During his presentation at the conference, Prof. Kolvekar showcased the Pectus Up technique<\/strong><\/a> as a significant technological innovation in the world of thoracic surgery for the treatment of “sunken chest”<\/strong><\/a> in both young and adult patients with varying degrees of asymmetry.<\/p>\n

His participation as a speaker at CWIG 2023 provided a clear opportunity for pediatric and thoracic surgeons from all over the world to get an up-close look at his knowledge and experience in treating Pectus Excavatum<\/strong><\/a> with the Pectus Up technique. Prof. Kolvekar’s presentation was warmly received and generated significant interest among attendees at the renowned congress, allowing him to share his own experiences with the benefits of the technique.<\/p>\n

Over the past two years, Professor Kolvekar has successfully used the Pectus Up New Generation technique<\/strong><\/a>, an innovative solution for the treatment of Pectus Excavatum that has already benefited over 250 patients worldwide.<\/p>\n

Professor Shyam Kolvekar<\/strong><\/a>, the leading Pectus Up surgeon in the United Kingdom, is recognized for attaining the status of elected member of the Society for Cardiothoracic Surgery in England<\/strong>. He currently works at the Barts Heart Centre at St Bartholomew’s Hospital<\/strong><\/a>, known for his expertise in minimally invasive cardiac surgery, lung cancer, and thoracic wall deformities. Additionally, he holds an honorary associate professorship at University College London and has been involved in numerous research projects.<\/p>\n
