Ventra Medical Technologies will take part in the\u00a0<\/em>I\u00a0International\u00a0Workshop on Chest Wall Deformities<\/em><\/h4>\n

The workshop, to be held on 19 and 20 October, is organized by the Pediatric Surgery Service of Hospital Vall d\u2019Hebron in Barcelona, through the service head, Dr. Manuel L\u00f3pez, and with Dr. Laureano Molins, head of Thoracic Surgery at Hospital Cl\u00ednic of and Hospital Sagrat Cor of Barcelona, as a co-director. The event will gather in Barcelona a high number of pediatric and thoracic surgeons and will also be attended by internationally outstanding professionals from the Chest Wall International Group (CWIG).<\/p>\n

Several live surgeries will be performed throughout the sessions, and many surgeons\u2019 experiences specialized in all kind of thoracic deformities will also be introduced. Among those, a patient affected by the Pectus Excavatum will be operated on with the new Pectus Up implant.<\/p>\n

Ventura Medical Technologies will have a booth where the company’s team\u00a0 will provide exhaustive information on the results achieved so far\u00a0and show some videos recorded in several surgeries.<\/p>\n

In addition, on Wednesday of the same week, 18 October, Dr. Berardo N\u00fa\u00f1ez Garc\u00eda, coordinator of Pediatric Srugery Service in Hospital Parc Taul\u00ed, and Dr. Laureano Molins will organize an international workshop to train all pediatric and thoracic surgeons interested in the new Taulinoplastia technique. The aim of this workshop is making known the clinical management of Pectus Excavatum, disclosing the Taulinoplastia technique and discussing on its indications. During the session, the step-by-step technique will be described, a live surgery will be performed and boradcasted in 3D and some interventions videos will be broadcasted and a training workshop will be conducted to practice the instrumental (Pectus Up Surgery Kit) used in this new surgical technique.
