This time, again thanks to the work of Biomedisys, <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Up<\/strong> distributor in Colombia, the technique has been successfully introduced in the spot known as the Colombian coffee region, an area that mainly covers the departments of Caldas, Risaralda and Quind\u00edo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This February, <a href=\"https:\/\/pectusup.com\/profesionales\/dr-carlos-alberto-rodriguez-sabogal\/?lang=en\">Dr. Carlos A. Rodr\u00edguez Sabogal<\/a>, a professor and expert in the <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Up<\/strong> technique, joined two thoracic surgeons in a surgery performed on a 13-year-old male patient. The operation took place at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ipsclinicasanrafael.com\/\">Cl\u00ednica San Rafael Sede Megacentro<\/a> in Pereira, located in the Colombian department of Risaralda.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dr. Sabogal has already trained several specialists from different cities in Colombia in the <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Up<\/strong> technique, the minimally invasive surgical alternative to other treatments for <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Excavatum<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The two surgeons who participated in this surgical procedure, <strong>Dr. Elkin Cabrera <\/strong>and <strong>Dr. Mauricio Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong>, fixed the <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Excavatum<\/strong> of a 13-year-old patient with a Haller index of 3.79, highlighting, among the various advantages of <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Up<\/strong> over others traditional procedures, &#8220;the ease of the surgical technique, which is less invasive and of shorter duration&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Both thoracic surgeons also emphasized that the surgery with <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Up<\/strong> is less traumatic for the patient, which makes it an excellent option for candidates for a <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Excavatum<\/strong> surgical treatment, since the reported pain is minimal, no ICU admission is required, the hospital stay does not exceed two or three days and the patient recovers at home, with a prescribed treatment of analgesia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With this new case, the Cl\u00ednica San Rafael Clinic becomes the second reference center in the Colombian coffee region, joining the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hiu.org.co\/\">Hospital Infantil de Manizales &#8211; Seccional Cruz Roja Caldas<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Currently, the <strong>Pectus<\/strong> <strong>Up<\/strong> is available in Spain, France, Portugal and Greece in
