Several articles have been published about the treatment of Pectus Excavatum using the Pectus Up method. They include the characteristics of the procedure and the nursing care required by patients who undergo Pectus Excavatum treatment using this technique.
In the latest article, there is a description of the experiences of 16 patients, ranging in age from 4 to 19, who underwent surgery with Pectus Up. It notes that in all cases there was a reduction and stabilisation of the defect without any significant complications.
To date, the number of operations totals twenty cases on people aged between 4 and 24.
At this time, the Pectus Up represents an important advance in the treatment of Pectus Excavatum and is, undoubtedly, a success story for collaboration between doctors and companies in the industrial sector.
