Pectus Excavatum experts gathered in a training session at Pectus Up® New Generation
Renowned Spanish thoracic surgeons led the training of Pectus Up, through the webinar training program of the Spanish Society of Thoracic Surgery (SECT). Moderating the conference and the professional debate, Dr. Miguel Congregado Loscertales from the Quirónsalud Infanta Luis Hospital (Seville) and Virgen del Rocío University Hospital (Seville), opened the training session given by Dr. Fernando Cózar Bernal from Hospital Universitario Virgen Macarena (Seville) and Dr. Jorge Hernández Ferrández from Hospital Universitari Sagrat Cor, Quirónsalud (Barcelona).
More than 240 professionals registered for the webinar on the Pectus Up New Generation that was held on November 23, in which the key points of the surgery and the most relevant advantages of the technique were presented.
Thoracic and pediatric surgeons from different countries in Europe and LATAM were able to learn first-hand the opinion of expert surgeons on Pectus Up, one of the best corrective solutions for Pectus Excavatum.
Both the implantable material and the instruments used and the surgical technique itself have been incorporating improvements thanks to the contributions of professionals who are experts in the procedure and the experience of Ventura Medical Technologies of more than 5 years and 200 operated cases.
The new generation of the Pectus Up has become an excellent solution for Pectus Excavatum, with which more patients can benefit from this innovative technique, older and with different types of asymmetry and sternal rotation.
Furthermore, the technique is simple to use, quick to learn, and perfectly reproducible. As it is extrathoracic, it offers great confidence to the professional, as there are no serious complications. It is also worth highlighting the good pain control and the good recovery of patients, as well as the short hospital stay and the lack of need for intensive care.
Although it is worth noting the good control of pain and the good recovery of patients, in addition to a short hospital stay and no need for intensive care, Ventura Medical Technologies goes further, working every day on innovation accessible to surgeons, as well as in making it easier for patients to put themselves in good hands and opt for the best solution for each particular case.
